A MHADA offiicial was trapped by the Anti-Corruption Bureau ACB for accepting Rs 1,000 from a tenant on Wednesday evening. ACB sources said Joseph Jagdale 66, a resident of Tilak Nagar, Chembur, received a letter from the MHADA office recently saying he would have to pay Rs 9,800 as transfer fee. But the officer demanded Rs 1,000 for expediting the matter, sources added. Jagdale approached the ACB and lodged a complaint against Chandrakant Sawde 46. A trap was laid and Sawde held red-handed.
