Tazias were immersed in various water bodies like Sursagar, Sarasia, Fatehpura talao, Tarsala talaso, Makarpura talao and river Mahisagar.

Before final burial, paper-made tazia replicas of Imam Hussein8217;s grave processions were taken through various localities of the city amidst beating of drums and recital of marsias and nauhas and singing of music.

Taking out of tazias and burial that began in the afternoon continued up to two o8217;clock in the night at Mahisagar.

Elaborate security arrangements had been made in sensitive localities of the walled city and all along the route of procession and at burial centres to ensure peaceful passage of the occasion.
