Former India stumper and Board of Control for Cricket in India BCCI selection committee chief Kiran More resigned as the Baroda Cricket Association BCA secretary on Sunday. With BCCI coming down firm on its units to dissociate from unapproved tournaments in India, More resigned as BCA secretary as he is contracted to Zee8217;s ICL.

After tendering his resignation following an emergency meeting called by the BCA managing committee, More said, 8220;It was a personal decision and something not easy when one is associated with an organisation like a family for years.8221; More held the honourary post for almost five years. He said it hurts but in some circumstances, one needs to take such decision.

Staring at a new challenging role as cricket consultant, More said BCA was like a home and BCCI gave him a bigger platform and he is thankful for it. Refusing to divulge any details of his deal, More said, 8220;I have got a new job and will give my employer new ideas regarding cricket. I will now give back what I have learnt all these years as a cricket administrator somewhere else.8221; He said before taking the decision he had talked with BCA members and his wellwishers.

More8217;s association with BCA began way back in 1974-75 and after that he played a bigger role at the BCCI.

Vice-president BCA, Sanjay Patel said: 8220;It BCA will miss the experience, knowledge and ability to take everyone into confidence for crucial decisions that More had brought.8221;
