Missing since October 30, Youth found murdered

Prakash8217;s body was noticed by some bystanders around 8 this morning. 8220;We took the body to Babu Jagjivan Ram Hospital. We then called in Prakash8217;s family for identification, who confirmed his identity. There were some external injury marks on his body and a case of murder has been registered,8221; a senior police officer said.

The police said Prakash8217;s family and neighbours staged a protest outside the Samaipur Badli police station after the discovery of his body. They demanded the suspension of the SHO for inaction in the matter and blocked the Ring Road till about 3 pm. Outer Delhi DCP Atul Katiyar reached the spot and had to assure the people that an inquiry would be conducted and the erring officers would be suspended.

When contacted, DCP Katiyar told Newsline: 8220;An additional deputy commissioner of police will inquire into the matter. Any action against the investigating officer or any other officer will be taken after the inquiry report is submitted.8221;

Prakash lived with his parents and four sisters in Samaipur Badli village. His father is a conductor with the DTC. He was a final year BBA student at Bharatiya Vidya Peet.
