MHADA, SPPL meets postponed

MUMBAI, MARCH 22: The board meeting of Shivshahi Punarvasan Prakalp Ltd SPPL and the special meeting of Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority MHADA scheduled to be held today were postponed to Wednesday. Both the meetings were put off ostensibly because the Housing Secretary, Govind Swaroop, had to be present in the court.

The SPPL board was meeting after a gap of over two-and-half months while MHADA was to discuss an arbitrator8217;s decision over building of 10,000 tranist tenements by the B G Shirke Company. Housing Minister Suresh Jain, at whose behest two key SPPL board members were removed, will hold the board meeting at his official residence March 24.
