Melbourne CC muster 7-wicket win

PUNE, Feb 16: Melbourne Cricket Club registered a seven-wicket win over Sunday Stars Cricket Club in the pool A match of the ongoing late Sadu Shinde Cricket League organised by the Poona District Cricket Association.

Melbourne CC, who now have 11 points, are to play against Azad Cricket Club in their last tie, which will decide the eventual pool leaders. Sunday Stars CC were restricted to 161-runs, with Prashant Walture 5/42 and Kamlakar Kumbhar 4/33 doing the needful for Melbourne CC.

Later, Ashok Rege 81 and Ramesh Tikone 38 carried on with the goodwork as Melbourne CC wrapped up the issue losing just three wickets in the process.

In other fixtures College of Engineering, National Chemical Laboratory, Jyoti Cricket Club, Bank of Baroda and Medicos Cricket Club earned full points winning their respective matches.
