Manpreet, Abhay starin DPS victory

NEW DELHI, October 13: Abhay Gupta and Manpreet Singh played key roles in DPS Mathura Road8217;s 68-45 victory over Modern School Vasant Vihar in the boys section of Nike-Don Bosco invitational inter-school basketball tournament. Abhay scored 23 points while Manpreet had 19. Vikram 10 and Jatin 8 kept up the honour of Modern School.

In another match, NGFS Alaknanda scored a resounding 43-11 victory over Cambridge Boys. Baljeet and Gulcharan 14 points each led NGFS to victory. Mohit played well for the losers.

St George8217;s School got a walkover from British School in another boys section match. In the girls category, G D Goenka defeated Cambridge School 11-6.

Niesen Basketball: St Xavier8217;s School and Army Public School will clash in the final of the 22nd Niesen memorial basketball tournament at Xavier8217;s School. In the semifinals, St Xavier8217;s defeated Chinmaya Vidyalaya 50-48 while APS downed Oxford School 73-41.
