Manpreet, Abhay starin DPS victory

NEW DELHI, October 13: Abhay Gupta and Manpreet Singh played key roles in DPS Mathura Road’s 68-45 victory over Modern School (Vasant Vihar) in the boys section of Nike-Don Bosco invitational inter-school basketball tournament. Abhay scored 23 points while Manpreet had 19. Vikram (10) and Jatin (8) kept up the honour of Modern School.

In another match, NGFS Alaknanda scored a resounding 43-11 victory over Cambridge Boys. Baljeet and Gulcharan (14 points each) led NGFS to victory. Mohit played well for the losers.

St George’s School got a walkover from British School in another boys section match. In the girls category, G D Goenka defeated Cambridge School 11-6.

Niesen Basketball: St Xavier’s School and Army Public School will clash in the final of the 22nd Niesen memorial basketball tournament at Xavier’s School. In the semifinals, St Xavier’s defeated Chinmaya Vidyalaya 50-48 while APS downed Oxford School 73-41.
