Paris, Oct 28: Defending champions Manchester United won 2-1 at Croatia Zagreb in the European Champions League to put a nightmare month behind them and earn qualification into the second round.

David Beckham8217;s first goal of the season, plus another from Roy Keane helped them forget their four losses in five previous games, including their first defeat in Europe in 18 matches.

Lazio, Rosenborg, Marseille and Fiorentina also earned their tickets into the second phase following last night8217;s action. Real Madrid, FC Porto, Sparta Prague and Valencia all secured places in the next phase on Tuesday, joining Barcelona and Bordeaux, who qualified last week.
