
A father had his 25-year-old son arrested for 8220;misconduct8221; in Sohna here.
Munish created a racket on returning home, apparently in an inebriated state, on Saturday evening. The reason 8212; he said he wanted to get married at the earliest. His father, Hera Lal 55, a fruit dealer in the village Mandi, went and lodged an FIR at the Sohna police station along with his elder son, stating he feared for his son Munish8217;s life and the safety of his family, as the boy was behaving in this manner.
8220;Munish returned home drunk late last Saturday and started shouting. He then broke a few windowpanes and furniture inside the house. He had told us a few days ago that we should hurry up and get him married soon,8221; Lal said.
Lal said that of late, Munish had been behaving 8220;strange-ly8221;. He said they had sent marriage proposals for him to neighbouring villages but were in a financial crunch after he had his second son married a couple of months ago. He was waiting for the situation to stabilise. 8220;Munish is not earning a single penny and my eldest son lives separately with his wife and children. It8217;s difficult to arrange for another marriage single-handedly so soon,8221; Lal said.
The police have registered a case under Section 309 of the IPC 8212; attempt to suicide. Angrej Singh, investigating officer, said: 8220;The father complained to us that there was a threat to his family members from his youngest son, Munish. When we arrested Munish, he was out of control. He has been sent to 14 days8217; judicial custody at Bhondsi Jail.8221;
When asked what will happen after 14 days, Singh said: 8220;It is a bailable offence but unless someone bails him, he will have to stay in jail.8221;
