Sikdar said the Communist Party of India Marxist had put the blame on the BJP-led Government at the Centre for the onion price hike but the Left Front Government remained indifferent to the hike in electricity tariffs in the State.

Describing the hike as 8220;exorbitant8221;, he said it was done with the support of the Front Government.
