It cannot be quantified or locked in a time capsule. Love transcends everything, romances Sooraj Barjatiya8217;s new Prem, Sonu Sood

Sonu Sood is quite familiar with loss. It8217;s the inheritance from it that he has found his answers in. And so, he holds long conversations, with the self, and with his mother who passed away last year. 8220;She used to say no sms or phone call can match up to the warmth a letter provides, and I treasure hers to date,8221; Sonu makes it a point to write one, pen a diary entry every day. It8217;s one of these endearing qualities that Sonu brings out in his characters, especially the latest one, Sooraj Barjatiya8217;s Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi. Playing the romantic lead as Barjatiya household8217;s new Prem, Sonu8217;s quite confident carrying the film on his well worked out shoulders. 8220;In an industry that8217;s churning out thrillers and action, a soft romance might come as a fresh breath of air,8221; he smiles, in town for an ICL match and yes, to talk about his film that releases this Friday. 8220;Barjatiyas need no promotion, they are a brand in themselves, an institute which is passionate about whatever it does. As for the film, I play what I am best at and still connected with 8211; a small town boy who embarks on a journey from Bhopal to Mumbai to pursue his dream, music. But little does he realise that it will take 12 years to reunite with the love he left behind.8221; But does love, in restless, frivolous times like these survive 12 long years? 8220;True love can survive a 100 years, and if it8217;s not, it won8217;t even last a 100 seconds! For love, time has no meaning, it transcends all these physicalities,8221; says the romantic who has strummed the guitar for the film. 8220;I used to play it in my engineering days in Nagpur, and it came in handy in the film,8221; he sure has touched all the right chords!

From struggling as an actor, doing south films to winning the National award for Bhagat Singh, Sood has come a long way. As Surajmal of Jodhaa Akbar, he got the audience up and take notice. Now, after Ek Vivah, Dhoondte Rah Jaoge will make them spin around him. 8220;I8217;m looking forward to this one,8221; Sonu8217;s playing 11 different characters in the film. 8220;Big B from Deewar, Shah Rukh from DDLJ, Sunny in Gadar, Aamir in Lagaan8230;you name it and I8217;ve played and dubbed it!8221;

Had he not forayed into acting, cricket would8217;ve been taken seriously by Sood. 8220;But I never got a chance8230;nobody gives one to small town guys!8221; C8217;mon, films have been fair enough!
