PATIALA, JAN 19: The various banks have disbursed loans to the tune of Rs. 237 crore against a target of 176 crore in the last two quarters in the district. This was stated here today by Deputy Commissioner Jasbir Singh Bir.While presiding over a meeting of district level review committee of banks at Red Cross Bhawan here, the DC also took strong notice against the banks those have not achieved their targets for advancing loans to the weaker weaker sections of the society. He stated that the action he had recommended against some of these included UnionBank of India, Bank of India, Central Bank of India, Canara Bank and Syndicate Bank because these had been found deficient in performing well in disbursing of loans.
