The 8216;Nehruvian secularism8217; practised by Indian politicians has helped the Islamic jehadis and Maoists, who are exploiting the situation for their benefit. Due to political considerations we haven8217;t been able to declare a decisive war against either.

I suggest that all political parties8212;right, left or centre8212;who call themselves secular should redesignate themselves 8216;Seekular8217;8212;it conforms with their hidden agenda; to seek Muslim votes by offering them all kinds of lollipops. Lollipops, as dieticians tell us, are good in taste but harmful to health. This is precisely the kind of disservice the so-called secular parties are doing to our Muslim brethren.
