LeT denies involvement

The Pakistan based Lashkar-e-Toiba LeT has denied its involvement in the Varanasi triple blasts and has said that the outfit doesn8217;t believe in carrying out action against civilians. An LeT statement, faxed today to a local new agency, also rejected police claims of the arrest of Lashkar operatives from UP. None of those arrested belongs to the outfit, the statement said, terming the police version a conspiracy of the security agencies to malign the militants. It also claimed that there was no militant outfit by the name of Lashkar-e-Qahaar operating in the Valley. The hitherto unknown militant outfit had claimed responsibility for the Varanasi serial blasts.
