Learn from Indira, attack Pak: Thackeray

Calling for imposition of an emergency in the country, Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray demanded a military attack on Pakistan in the aftermath of the terror attacks in Mumbai.

8220;First, announce an Emergency,8221; said the senior Thackeray in an interview to the Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamna on Monday, adding it was in the national interest. He criticised the 8220;concessions8221; being given to minorities.

Raising the pitch for recapturing PoK, Thackeray blamed former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru for the Kashmir imbroglio. 8220;We have our own differences about Indira Gandhi. But Indira Gandhi had the guts. She attacked Pakistan. Today8217;s Bangladesh was given independence by Indiraji,8221; he added.
