On being elected national chairperson of the All India Trinamool Congress,West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee told partymen she would not tolerate corruption and indiscipline,and warned of action against those who promote syndicates.
I warn those in my party who indulge in the business of promoting and raising syndicates. If somebody takes up the Trinamool flag and demands money,dont entertain him. He is an extortionist, she said,addressing TMC members from various states at a special session at the Netaji Indoor Stadium here on Thursday.
I dont spare even people of my household. I wont spare anybody from my party. This is my rajdharma. I also warn those who are encouraging indiscipline. I have zero tolerance for them. There should not be any ego in anybody, Mamata said.
Mamata announced a series of sops for the minorities: a new Haj house at Rajarhat and offices of the Minority Department at every district. She also declared December 18 as Minority Rights Day.
She said November 11,the birthday of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad,will be observed as Education Day.
