
CHANDIGARH, Oct 24: Kulwinder Singh bagged all-round best gymnast title in sub-junior boys category on the concluding day of the Chandigarh State gymnastics championship at Shivalik Public School in Sector 42. Ulplaksh and Himanshu were second and third, respectively.
In aerobic Davinder Kaur secured 17.30 points to win first place in individual event in girls group. She was followed closely by Amita Sohal and Komal, who were declared joint second with 17.00 points each.
Amandeep was third with 16.50.
Preet and Kuldeep bagged first place in pair event while Fateh, Preeti and Tarsem combined well to win first position in trio event.

GMS-16 cagers win
Government Model School-16 scored a 16-6 convincing win over Dev Samaj Junior Model School-21 in girls section on the opening day of the Chandigarh State Sub-Junior basketball championship at the DAV School in Sector 8, today.
Harshita and Shivani were the main scorers for the winner while Deepti got most of the points for the losers.
In the boys group Govt High School-20 defeated Moti Ram Arya School-27 by 36-13. Half time score of 16-7 was in favour of GHS-20.
Sachin 14 and Mohit 12 scored for GHS-20. Tomorrow the matches would begin at 7 a.m.
