Guwahati (Kamakhya)-Howrah Vande Bharat Sleeper train commercial run:India’s first Vande Bharat Sleeper train will begin its commercial run from Thursday, January 22. This new semi-high-speed train will revolutionize the long-distance and overnight rail journey in the country. This new-age train will be operated and maintained by the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) zone.
India’s first Vande Bharat Sleeper train commercial run
According to the national transporter, train number 27576 Kamakhya–Howrah Vande Bharat Sleeper Express will commence its commercial journey from January 22, while train number 27575 Howrah–Kamakhya Vande Bharat Sleeper Express will begin commercial operations from January 23.
The Kamakhya–Howrah Vande Bharat Sleeper Express (27576) will operate on all days of the week except Wednesday, whereas the Howrah–Kamakhya Vande Bharat Sleeper Express (27575) will run on all days except Thursday.
During its journey between Howrah and Kamakhya, this new Vande Bharat Sleeper train will halt at 13 stations. These are: Bandel, Nabadwip Dham, Katwa, Azimganj, New Farakka, Malda Town, Aluabari Road, New Jalpaiguri, Jalpaiguri Road, New Cooch Behar, New Alipurduar, New Bongaigaon and Rangiya.
The Howrah-Kamakhya-Howrah Vande Bharat Sleeper Express will comprise 16 coaches: 11 AC 3-tier, four AC 2-tier and one AC 1st class. A total of two rakes will be deployed on the Howrah–Guwahati route.
Howrah-Kamakhya Vande Bharat Sleeper Express: Time table
Train number 27575, the Howrah–Kamakhya Vande Bharat Sleeper, will depart from Howrah at 18:20 hrs and arrive at Kamakhya at 08:20 hrs the following day. In the return direction, train number 27576 will leave Kamakhya at 18:15 hrs and reach Howrah at 08:15 hrs the next day. The journey time for the entire route will be around 14 hours.
