CHANDIGARH, Oct 23: The case concerning the disappearance of a Ropar advocate, Kulwant Singh, his wife and minor son will come up before UT Special Judge for CBI cases S.S. Lamba on November 11.The case was today adjourned to facilitate the filing of a complaint by the court against the accused for allegedly fabricating evidence. The CBI is also to file a separate challan, as directed by the Supreme Court.

The incident dates back to January 1993. Kulwant Singh8217;s father reported to the police that the advocate, his wife and two-year-old son had disappeared under mysterious circumstances. The police, however, failed to trace them.

The CBI was directed to investigate the matter by the Supreme Court. Meanwhile, trial was initiated against one Harpreet Singh alias Lucky.

The CBI after investigations stated that the Lucky was innocent and DSP Jaspal Singh, inspector Balwant Singh, sub-inspector Arvinder Bir Singh and assistant-sub-inspector Darshan Singh were responsible for the fabrication of evidence against him.
