PANCHKULA, Oct 31: A quot;khula darbarquot; was held at the community centre in Kalka on Saturday. The darbar was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner S. K. Monga.

Most of the people present at the darbar complained about the sewerage problem and the DC told them that 30-35 per cent of the sewerage system was still under completion and estimate for the same has been sent to the Haryana Shivalik Development Board. The Gandhi Chowk Welfare Association came up with a demand that only vegetables and fruits should be sold at the apni mandis.

The residents of Kalka also demanded that no vehicles should be allowed to be parked in the main market of Kalka and the DC suggested that light system can be introduced to regulate the traffic.

The farmers of Raipur Jangi complained that there was no problem of low-voltage for their tubewells. The DC said that the department has purchased an equipment worth Rs 60,000 and the work will be completed within two months.

The Gram Panchayat of Kona village complained about the primary school where teachers were not even regular.

The Vishkarma Colony residents also demanded an increase in the water pressure.
