Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri (TMMTMTTM) Box Office Collection Day 1: Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday-starrer Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri released in theatres on Christmas but it seems like the Christmas joy hasn’t rubbed off on Dharma Productions’ latest release. On its opening day, the film only made Rs 7.25 crore, which is pretty mediocre given that this was a holiday release. This is Kartik’s first film with Karan Johar’s production house, after their infamous fallout during Dostana 2, and his only theatrical release for 2025. Ananya Panday was seen in Kesari Chapter 2 earlier this year.

Kartik Aaryan’s opening figures

For Kartik Aaryan, the opening figures sound alarming as this is his first release after 2024’s Diwali release Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 which made Rs 35.5 crore at the box office, despite a clash against Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again. His film Shehzada, which was the Hindi adaptation of Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, opened at Rs 6 crore, and could only manage to make Rs 32 crore through its run. Satyaprem ki Katha, which was seen as a hit at the time of its release, opened at Rs 8.25 crore, and managed to make Rs 77 crore through its theatrical run.

Tu Meri movie vs Avatar Fire and Ash vs Dhurandhar box office

Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri are even more concerning since the film has opened to largely lukewarm reviews, and is facing some tough competition from Dhurandhar. Ranveer Singh’s film, which will soon enter the Rs 1000 crore club worldwide, made Rs 26 crore on its 21st day in the theatres. James Cameron’s Fire and Ash, which had slipped into single digits during the earlier part of the week, also picked up steam on Christmas day and made Rs 13.5 crore.

Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri had Kartik and Ananya coming back together after six years, since their last outing in Pati Patni Aur Woh, which released in 2019. Even that film opened at Rs 9.1 crore, and managed to make Rs 84.5 crore during its lifetime. It is yet to be seen if Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri can survive in theatres for longer considering it is being attacked by the tsunami of Dhurandhar, and Avatar Fire and Ash isn’t helping its case either. The film only has one week to prove itself, as on January 1, Sriram Raghavan’s Ikkis will be in theatres. The film marks the last appearance of late actor Dharmendra.
