145;Journalist146; held for extortion

Police today arrested a 29-year-old 8220;journalist8221; for demanding protection money from a builder. She is said to have links with Chhota Rajan.

Jasbir Kaur of weekly magazine Police Times was arrested after neighbour Ivan Leo Sequeira was picked up yesterday while accepting extortion money. Ivan told the police that Kaur gave him contact numbers of businessmen.

A builder last week got a call from Arjun, asking for Rs 25 lakh. He offered to pay near Wadala railway station where a trap was laid. Arjun was arrested and identified as Ivan. He admitted being part of a plot to kidnap and murder industrialist Nusli Wadia.
