Joginder Singh remembered

MOGA, Nov 26: A Shaheedi conference in connection with the death anniversary of Baba Joginder Singh, father of Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, was organised by the Shiromani Akali Dal Panthic, Bahujan Samaj Party, Punjab Yuva Janata Morcha and Damdami Taksal at his native village, Rode, today. Also present was Punjab Education Minister Tota Singh.Bhai Jasvir Singh Khalsa, president of SAD Panthic, Baba Thakar Singh, head of the Damdami Taksal, were among those paid tributes to Baba Joginder Singh.

Harbhajan Lakha of BSP, Gyan Chand of Punjab Yuva Janata Morcha, AISSF secretary general Karnail Singh Peermohammad and other speakers and lauded his services to the Panth, especially when he was heading the joint Akali Dal after Operation Bluestar.

Most speakers were critical of the performance of the Badal government and pleaded for a third alternative. They also expressed concern over the controversy regarding the Khalsa tercentenary celebrations.
