Jaya’s charges malicious: TN CM

CHENNAI, May 23: Chief Minister M Karunanidhi has termed as `malicious’ the charge made by former Chief Minister and AIADMK general secretary J Jayalalitha that he had extended favour to his ex-son-in-law Athipan Bose during 1989-91 when the DMK was in power. The CM quoted from the Justice S Sivasubramaniam Commission report which had exonerated him from the charge that he had shown undue favouritism by entrusting the procurement rights of the granite mined by the State-owned TAMIN to `Bose Consortium.
