Ivanisevic advances

SPLIT CROATIA, February 3: Second-seed Goran Ivanisevic fulfilled hometown audience expectations defeating David Prinosil of Germany 7-6 8-6, 6-4, in the first round of the ATP Croatian Indoors Tournament.

Ivanisevic acknowledged that his 85-minute match was far from easy, saying he fought both Prinosil8217;s excellent serve including 15 aces and his own recent weakness that resulted in an early exit at the Australian Open.

Ivanisevic was not on top during the whole match, though. Prinosil managed to lead 3-0 in the tie-break of the first set, then 5-3 and even had a set point at 6-5. But Ivanisevic eventually saved the set point.
