IT workshop concludes

S.A.S. NAGAR, Feb 21: Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology conducted its first workshop on Information Technology for Competitive Advantage at the school yesterday. The speakers, while stressing upon the optimum use of modern technology, said technology should never be allowed to rule over mankind. They said that the development of the country always depended upon its advancement in information technology.

While RCC Director T.N. Mishra explained various aspects of IT in present day8217;s changing environment, General Manager of Punjab State Electronic Development and Production Operation R.K. Sangwan informed about the technical capabilities of the state.

Punjab Technical Education Director, N.S. Kalsi awarded ceritificates to the participants of the workshop. Addressing the workshop, Kalsi said that Punjab government will invest Rs 25 crore this year against last year8217;s budget of Rs 3 crore for upgradation of information technology.
