Predictbly the Indian Hockey Federation was IHF back to its predictable ways. In a development as late as Wednesday tournament begins Saturday the IHF and Doordarshan convinced the international hockey federation FIH to reschedule the Sahara Champions Trophy fixtures.

Doordarshan, which has the terrestrial rights for the tournament, had made a request for rescheduling India8217;s matches to 6.30 pm instead of the originally planned 8.30 pm start.

8220;In order to keep the match programme as equitable as possible and to guarantee all teams the required amount of rest between matches, the FIH has completely rescheduled all matches,8221; a release from the FIH said.

The decision world hockey8217;s governing body, however, hasn8217;t gone down well with a few of the participating teams. 8220;It8217;s totally unprofessional,8221; was Holland coach Roelant Oltsmans8217; reaction.
