BANGKOK, Nov 5: India Beat Bangladesh 2-0 with both goals scored in the first half to win a four-nations men8217;s hockey tournament here today.

India scored from Mohammed Riaz in the 23rd minute while Kamal Horo assisted in the 25th minutes.

In the contest for third place Uzbekistan beat Thailand 2-1 after drawing 1-1 at half time.

Uzbekistan scored through Lael Aslive in the 24th minute and A Melekesov in the 55th minute. Thailand scored through T Thipkongka in the 27th

minute.

Hockey team likely by Nov 6

CHENNAI: The Indian hockey team to play against Sri Lanka was likely to be announced here on November 6 or 7 depending on the availability of selectors8217;, according to C R Kumar, chief coach, Indian Hockey Development team.
