On Sunday, Ankita took to her Instagram Story and lashed out at trolls, while clarifying Mahhi and Nadeem’s relationship. “Today, I want to say something-not as a celebrity, but as a friend. I’ve been really disturbed by the way people are commenting on Mahi and Nadeem’s relationship. I know Mahi, I know Nadeem, and I know Jai very well. And I need to say this clearly- Nadeem has always been a father figure to Mahi and Jai, and a father to Tara. That’s it. Nothing else,” she wrote in the long note.

The actor continued to praise Nadeem for always being there for people during difficult times. “My respect for him is huge. Mahi and Jai, you’re doing an amazing job as parents. God bless you. And to those spreading negativity-please stop. Let people live their lives. Karma is watching. Mahi, I love you. Jai, I love you. And Nadeem-you’re truly one of the best. You are a god sent person for many of us!!”

Jay Bhanushali reposted Ankita Lokhande’s Instagram Story and wrote, “Thank You Ankita and I agree with every word you have said.” Mahhi Vij also reposted it, but didn’t write any caption.

On Nadeem’s birthday, Mahhi also shared a photo of him with her daughter Tara, calling him “Abba” in the caption. Meanwhile, Jay was present at the birthday party as well and wished Nadeem on social media, sharing a carousel of heartwarming photos.

On Saturday, Mahhi Vij had shared a picture with Nadeem Nadz from his birthday celebration. In the Instagram caption, she wrote, “Happy Birthday to the one I chose, not by chance, but by heart. Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij divorce announcement

Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij announced their divorce on January 4, 2026. The couple had shared a joint statement which read, “Today, we choose to part ways on a journey called life, yet we continue to have each other’s back. Peace, growth, kindness and humanity have always been our guiding values. For the sake of our children -Tara, Khushi, Ranjveer, we commit to being the best parents, the best friends, and whatever else it takes to do what is right for them.”

Jay and Mahhi, who got married in 2010, continue to co-parent their three children – daughters Tara, Khushi and son Ranjveer. In her first YouTube vlog after the announcement, the actor addressed the trolling around allegedly taking Rs 5 crore in alimony from Jay. “Don’t act with half-knowledge. I’m reading things like ‘Mahhi took 5 crore in alimony.’ People are pulling out old videos just for likes and comments. It’s so sad,” Mahhi said.

She added, “I read a lot in the comment section, like ‘Why did you adopt kids?’ or ‘Why did you give birth to a child?’ Our bank account is not empty, you know. We can take care of our children. It’s not like Jay ran away, or that I don’t have anything.”
