MUMBAI, JULY 13: India is seeded 19th among the 22 countries participating in the World junior girls squash championship to be held at Antwerp in Belgium from July 25 to August seven.

The Indian team is in Group C which has third seeded Egypt, sixth seeded Germany, eleventh seeded South Africa and 14th seeded France.

In the opening individual rounds, India8217;s Deepali Anwekar will play Nathalie Suhase of France, Pia Abraham will meet Kiwi player Kylie Lindsay, Vaidehi Reddy will face American Michelle Quibell while Supriya Balsekar will take South African Karen Westhuizen. Malaysia is top seeded in the team event ahead of defending champions England.

Malaysia was placed third, highest placing in the event for an Asian team last World Championship. India8217;s best track record is a third placing in the Asian juniors and are making their debut in the world squash. Malaysia8217;s Asian junior and senior champion Nicol David heads the individual seedings followed by Vicki Lankester England, Leong Siu Lynn Malaysia and Iman Ele Amir Egypt. Egypt is the only Arab country among the many squash playing Islamic nations to permit their girls to play in the event in which they head Group C. The Group A, B and D are led by Malaysia, England and Belgium respectively.
