Mumbai, Jan 5: The first match of the FedEx cricket cup involving Indian and South African seniors to be played in Bangalore on January 7 has been postponed to Jan 15, a press release said on Tuesday.

The inaugural match of the four one-day series will now be played in Mumbai on January 9. Stars of the 1983 World Cup are expected to play. The other venues include Baroda Jan 11 and Faridabad Jan 13.

NASEOH meets

THE National Society for Equal Opportunities for the Handicapped NASEOH, India, will be conducting the XVIth Maharashtra State athletic, aquatic and indoor games competitions for the Disabled of all categories from January 6 to 9 at the Priyadarshini Sports Complex, Napeansea Road, Mumbai. About 1,100 disabled from 75 institutions from different districts of Maharashtra will be taking part in the four-day meet. The Meet will be inaugurated at 9.45 a.m. on Wednesday by J F Ribeiro, former Police Commissioner.

Inter-Collegiate judo

Ramnarain Ruia College, Matunga will be thevenue to this year8217;s Inter-Collegiate Judo Competition for men and women to be held on January 7. Around 125 students are expected to participate in the event being sponsored by the hosts.

Veterans8217; Badminton

Badminton 45 amp; Bombay Gymkhana organised Veteran National Badminton Championship will get under way at the Bombay Gymkhana Courts from January 25 to 28. Entries should be sent to Sports Section, Bombay Gymkhana Ltd, MG Road latest by Jan 14.
