SYDNEY, SEPT 23: India scored two goals in the last 16 minutes but it was too late and too few as they went down 3-5 to Australia in their second tie of the four-nation Australia Cup Hockey Tournament today.

Deepak Thakur 49th and 60th minutes and Mohammed Riaz 56th netted for India while Matthew Smith 10th, Paul Gaudian 25th, Michael Brennan 28th, James Elmer 54th and Ben Taylor 55th struck for the hosts.

But coach Terry Walsh was not appeased. 8220;We had an opportunity to do a very good job but we didn8217;t take it,8221; said Walsh, annoyed by a 8220;casual, carefree8221; second-half performance from the Australians which allowed the Indians to rally back.

Jung Seong-Tae 4th, 49th and Yeo Yoon-Gon 34 scored for the Koreans while Canada8217;s goals came from Andrew Griffiths 14ht min and Paul Wettlaufer 22nd.
