
MPCA in dilemma
INDORE: Faced with criminal and civil suits in the lower court and the Madhya Pradesh High Court, the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association MPCA is in a dilemma as how to pay even for the tent house arrangement of the abandoned one-dayer between India and Sri Lanka on December 25 last year.
MPCA8217;s request to the Indore bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court for allowing them to withdraw Rs ten lakh for making payment to the tent house contractors was turned down.
The proceeds of the match 8212; Rs 78 lakh by way of sale of tickets and Rs 18 lakh in form of advertisements and hoardings 8212; had been frozen by the High Court following a civil suit filed by one Sunil Jain demanding refund of ticket money.
Kabaddi probables
NEW DELHI: The Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India AKFI has shortlisted 36 probables for the 2nd coaching camp at Patiala. The camp is in prepration for the 13th Asian Games to be held in Bangkok in December.
