MUMBAI: India had a bad second day as National women8217;s champion Mekhala Subedar, Ritwick Bhattacharya, Dhiraj Singh and Manish Chotrani lost out in the the quarter-finals of individual event of the Asian Senior Squash Championship at Hong Kong.
According to the information received here, while the men were snuffed out quickly, Mekhala lost to second-seeded Rebecca Chiu of Hong Kong 10-8 9-3 9-3 in 38 minutes. Malaysia8217;s Ong Beng Hee beat Bhattacharya 10-8 9-4 9-1 in 37 minutes.
Sixth-seeded Pakistani Zubair Jahan Khan defeated Chotrani 9-1 10-8 9-2 while Kenneth Low of Malaysia, seeded second, routed Dhiraj 9-0 9-4 9-0.
