PSCB emerge sole leader

MOGA: PSCB ended the dream run of leaders LIC with an easy 3.5-0.5 win to snatch the lead on in the National Team Chess Championships here on Saturday. After six rounds, PSCB lead (17 points), with Tamil Nadu (16.5), who beat Integral Coach Factory (ICF) 3-1, following close behind.LIC (15.5) points was placed third and Indian Airlines, who held defending champion Bank Sports Board (14.5), were next with 15 points.

PSCB (17) bt LIC (15.5); ICF (14.5) lost to Tamil Nadu (16.5); Indian Airlines (15) drew with BSB (14.5); Madhya Pradesh (12.5) lost to Railways (14.5); Uttar Pradesh (14) bt Delhi (11.5).

Chess squad

CHENNAI: A 10-member team, with two Grandmasters, two International masters and two IWM will represent India in the Chess Olympiad in Elista (Kalmykia) from Sept 26 toOct 13.
