Indian seamers top ratings

NEW DELHI: Indian seamers Ajit Agarkar and Venkatesh Prasad and leg-spinner Anil Kumble have occupied the top three slots in bowling while batsmen Ajay Jadeja, Mohammed Azharuddin and Saurav Ganguly have been placed sixth, 10th and 11th respectively in the season8217;s Pepsi World Cricket Ratings for one-dayers.Agarkar heads with 8,506 points followed by Kumble 8,416 and Prasad 8,389 among the eleven bowlers making the qualifying mark of eight wickets. The batting list included Jadeja 5,943, Azharuddin 4,241 and Ganguly 3,812 respectively.

Federation Cup

CALCUTTA: The women8217;s Federation Cup Football Tournament will be held at Raigunj in North Dinajpur district of West Bengal from September 2 to 18.The tournament, to be played on league-cum-knock-out basis, has 12 teams in fray. Organised by the All India Football Federation, the tournament will see women club teams vying for supremacy. The host state and Manipur have two teams each in the competition.
