CHENNAI: The Indian team for the CSI-Y tournament International Young Riders Competition 16-21 years was announced on Friday. Selected on the basis of performance in the junior events at the NEC 1999 Championship, the Indian team will be pitted against entrants from Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong for the CSI-Y Trophy.

Ashok, Sheikh win
CHENNAI: B Ashok of Tamil Nadu and Mohammed Saif Sheikh of Uttar Pradesh won the men8217;s and junior invidivual golds in the clay pigeon trap shooting National Rules event in the ninth All-India G V Mavlankar National Shooting Championship at Alamadi.
Ashok had a total score of 34 points to push B Senthil Kumar TN to the second spot. Saif Sheikh tallied 25 points in the final round pushing Jayesh Chand TN and H Balaji TN to second and third places. Jayesh and Balaji finished with 19 and 17 points respectively.
Jadeja fitness test
MUMBAI: The cricket board has asked Ajay Jadeja to undergo a fitness test, in all likelihood in Mumbai, on December 28, a few days before the selectors are to meet to decide on the changes in the Indian team for the January 9-February 13 tri-series in Australia.
