Tyson promises pain to Norris

LAS VEGAS: Mike Tyson, trying to recapture his once fearsome reputation as the baddest man on the planet8217; will keep his strategy simple against Orlin Norris tomorrow. 8220;I8217;m bringing some pain, baby,8221; promised Tyson, who returns to the ring after a nine-month absence that included a four-month stint in jail for assault. Despite the layoff, 33-year-old Tyson is a 9-1 favourite against 34-year-old Norris, a former cruiserweight world champion.

Tyson looked sloppy in his last fight, against South African Francois Botha on January 16, but came through with a fifth-round knockout to take his record to 46-3, with 40 victories inside the distance.

Norris, who brings a record of 50-5 with 27 wins inside the distance, disagrees. He said Tyson8217;s talk of pain doesn8217;t scare him, and he believes he can defuse Tyson8217;s big bombs. 8220;This is boxing, I expect pain,8221; Norris said. 8220;I know he is going to hit me. But I know I can8217;t get hit with anything clean.8221;
