145;Ideal construction practices should evolve146;

Association of Civil Engineers had recently conducted a talk session on 8216;ideal construction practices8217; at SM Joshi hall, which was participated by a large number of architects, builders, prospective buyers and sellers.

Speaking on the subject R B Chaphalkar, president, Association of Civil Engineers ACE said, 8220;The construction sector in India should adopt a modern attitude towards planning, technology, management and implementation of project. Constructing a house should be a pleasant and memorable experience. If greater awareness about ideal construction practices is created among developers, architects, civil engineers, consumers, buyers and all those concerned with constructing a house, the entire experience can be enriching.8221;

Nikhil Deshpande, vice-president, ACE and S R Kulkarni, director, Marathi Bandhkam VYASAI Sanghtana presided over the session.

S R Kulkarni addressing the gathering said, 8220;Our organisation has always promoted Maharashtrians for becoming entrepreneurs. Considering that more and more people are now getting attracted to new businesses it is important to culminate good business practices right from the beginning.8221;

ACE has taken a very bold initiative to create awareness among the masses about good construction practices which will go a long way to make sure that new people in the profession gives quality results and brings prestige to the construction industry, he added.
