HUDA to allot plot to complainant

PANCHKULA, Oct 20: The District Consumer Disputes8217; Redressal Forum has directed the Haryana Urban Development Authority HUDA to pay a sum of Rs 500 as cost of proceedings and allot the plot to the complainant at the same price. The orders were passed by Forum president R.C. Taneja and member B.S. Badhran.

The complainant, Meena Bhatia, a resident of Chandigarh, had applied for the allotment of a plot as per an advertisement announced by HUDA. Thereafter she was allotted a plot no 842-P in Sector 13 and 17 HUDA, Panipat, measuring 209 square metres. The complainant thereafter made total payment for the plot but the possession of the same was not offered to her.

It is learnt that the plot allotted to her is a disputed one and no sewerage facilities have been provided by HUDA in the area, whereas on the other hand, there is another vacant plot no 1950-P, which is not disputed and has all facilities by HUDA. The size and price of the plot is also similar to plot no 1950-P. Under these circumstances, the complainant had prayed for allotment of the alternative plot.
