
Do you avoid certain kinds of food?
I generally avoid oily food. It doesn8217;t suit me and makes me uneasy
What do you do to maintain your fitness?
I am practicing Bharat Thakur8217;s yoga. It really helps menbsp;a lot. My trainer comes home thrice a week to teach me. I do cardio in the local gym for 40 minutes everyday. My dietician Anjali Mukherji is a very close friend and I follow her regimen religiously. She keeps a close watch on my diet and ensures that my regular food consumption is commensurate to my daily exercise.
What is your diet like?
For breakfast I have juice and boiled eggs. During lunch, I love having salad and vegetables. The diet ensures thatthe meal is light, yet healthy. I have an early dinner, which generally consists of fish or chicken and salad. I passionately binge on Bengali food. Whenever I visit my mother in Delhi, I satisfy my craving for Bengali food. She8217;s a wonderful cook and makes special traditional dishes for me and I eatnbsp;everything then. And yes, I love sweets.
Do you consciously avoid a certain kind of food? Please elaborate.
I make it a point to avoid oily food. I am not only concerned about the calory intake, but also aware of the fact that it doesn8217;t suit me at all. I feel uneasy. And although I have a sweet tooth, I know I should avoid sweets. But Inbsp;am generally overwhelmed by my desire for sweets and keep asking my dietician to allow me some. She is generous enough to allow me a chocolate once in a while and I am grateful for that.
