Not content with his recent visibility in films, Arbaaz Khan recently launched his own production house, Arbaaz Khan Productions. “I am glad to have been seen in some good films of late, but I wanted to take my role in the industry further. I stumbled upon a good director and a great script, which is when I decided to take up the project,” explains the actor.

There has been no formal launch but the actor plans an official announcement closer to the date when the project goes on floors in April. The first film under the banner, says Khan, is a commercial drama based on relationships and conflicts. “It has a role for Salman and I may be acting too.” Refusing to divulge further details, he adds that the film will be directed by debutant director Abhinav Kashyap.

Talking about his future projects, Khan says that after the success of Fashion, he would like to focus on his forthcoming films —Madhureeta Anand’s Mere Khwabon Mein Jo Aaye and Kissan under his brother’s Sohail Khan Productions.

On suggestion that he could have worked under his brother’s banner as a producer, the actor says that the production house already has an established name and is busy with projects like Mr and Mrs Khanna. Afraid that people might misconstrue the equation between the two brothers, Khan is quick to clarify, “The names may be different but the machinery to run the two companies is common. We are and will always be one.”
