
HYDERABAD, November 19: World Cup bronze medallist Gurjant Singh had to sweat it out to move into the third round of the 44th Senior National wrestling championship here, at the Lal Bahadur Stadium, today.
The Greco-Roman grappler from Punjab was stretched to the full by Sukhram Pal of Haryana in the 54kg category before the latter succumbed in extra time.
WOMEN MAKE DEBUT:
Romi Khuran of Chandighar and Jammu amp; Kashmir8217;s Ritika became part of the history when they entered the arena as the first ever women taking part in National wrestling championships.
