Grant for medical college demanded

HISAR, Dec 13: Former Chief Minister Banarsi Dass Gupta, today asked all the seven MLAs belonging to Aggarwal community to put pressure on Chief Minister Bansi Lal to restore grant for the Agroha Medical College or quit their respective Assembly seats in protest.

Addressing mediapersons here today, Gupta said that though O.P. Jindal has taken a right decision to part ways with Bansi Lal’s Haryana Vikas Party (HVP), still he should own responsibility in not initiating with Bansi Lal on restoring grant for the medical college in 1996 when he was treasurer on the medial college board besides Member of Parliament (MP) and Vice Pre- sident of HVP.

Commenting on the formation of Jindal-led Haryana “Sarvjati Morcha” and its call to the people to get rid of three lals from the political scene in the state, the former CM said that instead of anything against the individuals, the party or morcha should work and function on the basis of their policy and programmes for the welfare of the people and state.
