RAMANATHAPURAM, June 18: Garnets are plentifully available in the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu, particularly the backward Ramanathapuram district, where there is good scope for processing the gemstone, according to district authorities. The industry feels that with encouragement from Government, the potential can be exploited to generate a great number of jobs as well add to the export basket.
