Gokuldham chess

MUMBAI, June 4: A total number of 160 entries have been received for the Bharat Petroleum Chess Utsav 8217;98, which will be conducted by the Gokuldham Chess Club from June 5 to 7 from 9 a.m. onwards at the Gokuldham High School, Goregaon.

Fortyfive players are in the fray in the Open category including three rated players i.e., Avinash Awate FM Elo 2280, VKN Solanki Elo 2185 and Prasad V Ghate Elo 2070.

The winner in the Open category will carry a cash prize of Rs 4,000. Total prize-money for all the categories aggregates to Rs 25,000.

Spot entries will be accepted at the venue.
