Maurice Green8217;s a psycho: Drummond
EUGENE OREGON: Sitting Wednesday in a tent adjacent to the track where America will select its World Championship team this week, talkative Jon Drummond let out the secret behind training mate Maurice Greene8217;s ascent to the 100 metres world record of 9.78s.
8220;He has blind faith,8221; Drummond said. 8220;This boy believes.8221;
8220;If we played a game and Maurice lost, we would have to play until Maurice won one time,8221; Drummond said. 8220;And if he wins that one time, it8217;s like he won all the others. 8220;It8217;s almost to the point of being psycho.8221; Greene chuckled at the word.
Said Drummond, 8220;If he8217;s got to run out of his legs, where hisbody is left at the starting line and his legs are at the finish line, that8217;s what he will do if that8217;s what it takes to win.8221;
