Dalmiya said skipper Ganguly was scheduled to attend the meeting but he excused himself saying he did not want to involve himself with a sensitive issue at a time when the team had important engagements at hand.

8226; Contracted players would have to grant to BCCI royalty or license to use his 8220;attributes8221; for the publicity and promotion of cricket.

8226; A player would be entitled to have any sponsor of his own irrespective of whether the sponsor concerned was a competitor of BCCI8217;s sponsors.

8226; A contracted player would also have to furnish a detailed list of his personal endorsements to BCCI within 10 days of signing the contract.

8226; A player8217;s selection in a team to compete in any ICC or ACC event would be contingent on his confirming that he would comply with the terms and conditions stipulated by ICC/ACC.

Two sides of the coin

THE POSITIVE

Even if a player is injured or falls sick as a result of playing or during training for the country and is not available for selection, he would continue to receive the retainer fee for his term of contract.

THE NEGATIVE

The match fees would be paid to only the 11 players playing the match while the reserve players in the squad would be paid 50 per cent of the match fee.
