Friends, desi version!

What happens when estranged friends bump into each other 8212; well a faint exchange of smile? Sourav Ganguly meeting his Team India compatriot and present captain Rahul Dravid at the meeting of BCCI8217;s special advisory committee on Sunday in New Delhi presented a similar picture.

There was hardly any exchange of words8230; certainly not in public 8212; between the two stalwarts who along with Sachin Tendulkar formed the mighty trinity of Indian cricket not many years back. When asked about his meeting with Dravid, Sourav said, 8220; It was nice,8221; but Dravid remained his usual tight lipped self.

Does Sourav fit into Dravid8217;s scheme of things? Well its all open to interpretation.. or is it just too obvious. Given the mystery shrouding Sehwag8217;s fitness and Tendulkar8217;s unavailabilty, Ganguly with his vast experience should be a logical replacement. But even the mention of Ganguly is not welcomed in the corridors of power of Indian cricket. But you never know8230;
