CHANDIGARH, Feb 10: Accepting the appeal filed by K.S. Sahota and others against yesterday8217;s order restraining them to hold further judo trials, Additional District and Sessions Judge S.S. Lamba today directed the defendants to hold trial of judo players, including the plaintiffs tomorrow at 12 noon in the presence of Director, Sports, Chandigarh.

The Judge directed that as far as possible, preference would be given to plaintiffs. The trials are to be held tomorrow on the Punjab University complex.

Earlier, counsel for the plaintiffs had submitted that since trials for the Chandigarh judo team had been held on January 12 and a team already selected, the plaintiffs had a legal right to attend the national games at Imphal.

The Judge observed that although it8217;s hardship on the plaintiffs, the Chandigarh Olympic Association was justified in holding fresh trials to send the best persons available for participation in the national games.

It was held that no legal right regarding participation in the games has been accrued on the plaintiffs and the defendants are not bound to send them. The team will now be sent after fresh trials tomorrow.
